S4, also known as Andarine, is to SARMs what trenbolone is to anabolic steroids: the coveted both-and drug. This means that it can be used to both build muscle and burn fat (or significantly accelerate fat loss). S4 is one of the oldest "selective androgen receptor modulators" (SARMs); it was developed decades ago by the pharmaceutical company GTX Inc.
